Absolutely — Pukaha Mt Bruce National Wildlife Centre is one of NZ's best wildlife experiences for families. You can see kiwi (in a nocturnal house), kōkako, tuatara, and kākā (kea parrots) in a live setting. The eel feeding at 1:30pm is a daily highlight. Allow 2–3 hours. The drive from Masterton is 30 minutes north on SH2.
