FAQ
Is this Rotorua 3-day itinerary too packed?
It's full but achievable. Day 2 is the busiest — if the kids are tired, drop Agrodome and relax at the holiday park geothermal pool instead. Hobbiton on Day 3 is non-negotiable if you've pre-booked.
How early do we need to arrive in Rotorua on Day 1?
Arrive by 9:30am to reach Wai-O-Tapu for the 10:15am Lady Knox Geyser. That means leaving Auckland by 7:00am. It's an early start but the geyser is the day's centerpiece.
