Wellington Cable Car Review

The Wellington Cable Car is a 4-minute ride that takes you from Lambton Quay to the Botanic Garden at the top of the city. The panoramic views of the harbour are breathtaking, and kids will love looking out the window as the city unfolds below.

The cable car is stroller-friendly, and babies as young as 0+ can ride, making it an excellent activity for families with little ones. The 30-minute ride is followed by a 45-minute walk back down through the beautiful Botanic Garden, which is free and a great way to stretch your legs.

The Wellington Cable Car costs $12 per adult and $6 per child, which we think is reasonable for the experience you get. However, if you're traveling with a large family, it may add up quickly. Consider purchasing a family pass or looking for discounts online to save money.
